Having a new kitchen can have a bigger impact on your lifestyle than you might think.
According to a recent survey, based on more than 3,000 responses from UK homeowners using the Houzz® platform, more than a third of homeowners report leading a healthier lifestyle after a kitchen renovation, from eating more fruits and vegetables to preparing more meals at home. It also leads to other lifestyle changes such as spending more family time in the kitchen and entertaining more.
The study reveals other valuable renovation insights, such as top kitchen trends and features.
It showed contemporary and traditional styles are the hallmark of new kitchens (56% and 10% each). White cabinetry appears in nearly a third of updated kitchens (31%). Nearly two thirds of kitchen renovators are increasing the room’s size (63%) and open concepts continue to be en vogue with 59% of new kitchens more open to other rooms and 52% more open to the outdoors.
It also found that 93% of upgraders said they were enlisting professional help for their kitchen renovation project.
